Unlisted makes it simple and secure to share your cap table with the right people, whether that’s your investors, employees, or external partners.

You can manage all sharing options directly from the cap table page, giving you full control over who can access what, for how long, and with what level of detail.

What you can do when sharing your Cap Table

From the Cap Table page, you can:

  • Control stakeholder-specific access and public link access

  • Decide whether to share the fully diluted view

  • Customize which columns are visible to recipients

  • Set an expiration date for shared links

Let’s go through each step:

Access the sharing menu

On your cap table page, click the three dots in the top right corner, then select “Share Cap Table.”

This opens the sharing panel where you can configure how and with whom your Cap Table will be shared.

Choose who you want to share it with

You’ll see two sharing options:

  • Cap Table for stakeholders: This view is specifically tailored for people who already exist as stakeholders in your workspace and who are users on Unlisted (founders, investors, employees, etc.). You can decide whether or not each stakeholder can access their personal cap table view. It will include more detailed information than the public version accessed through a link.

  • Cap Table accessible with a link: This option allows you to generate a shareable link that can be sent to anyone, even if they are not a registered stakeholder in Unlisted.

Decide whether to share the fully diluted view

Before sharing, you can choose whether you want to include the fully diluted view of your cap table, which accounts for options, warrants, and convertible instruments.

Turning this option off allows you to show only issued shares, while keeping more complex financial data private.

Edit which columns are visible

Within the sharing panel, you can also customize which columns your recipients will see.
Click “Display settings” and select or deselect columns such as share class, ownership percentage, or total value.

This lets you tailor each shared view to include only the information that’s relevant and appropriate for your audience.

Set an expiration date for shared links

When sharing your cap table via link, you can define an expiration date.
After that date, the link automatically becomes invalid, and recipients will need a new link to regain access.

This adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that outdated links don’t remain accessible indefinitely.

Conclusion

Sharing your cap table in Unlisted gives you complete control over who can view your company’s equity data and how it’s presented.

With flexible options for stakeholder access, public sharing links, display customization, and expiration settings, you can securely distribute the right level of information to the right audience, every time.
